I HAVE 10 T-MAX 3A WHICH WORK VERY WELL EXCEPT FOR THE MEMBRAIN OVER THE SWITCHES WHICH SEEMS TO BREAKTHROUGH BECAUSE THE TANNERS JUST DONT FEEL THE SWITCH,AT THE NASHVILLE SHOW I SAW THAT T-MAX HAD COME OUT WITH A NEW VERSION WITH SOFT KEYS I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS A PROGRAM FOR SWITCHING THE OLD FOR THE NEW AT A SMALL COST (YA RITE) MINE ARE ONLY 1.5 YRS OLD.

Was going to send you an e-mail, but you did not feel up to offering that info. I also use the T-Max 3As, but my people do NOT have to touch the unit. Mine are activated by a wired remote switch (optional from the company) or just get yourself a push-button switch and wire it in parallel with the existing 3A switch. All the unit is looking for is a closed contact, it works and the customer like that they don't have to reach around to push the 3A's button like at other places.

THANKS ED FOR THE INFO THAT IS A GREAT IDEA,ALL MY PEOPLE START THE BED BEFORE THEY GET IN JUST TO GET SOME HEAT GOING BECAUSE WE DUMP ALOT OF AIR IN THE SALON BECAUSE WE HAVE MOSTLY VHR UNITS.I REALLY LIKE T-MAXs NEW UNITS AS THEY ARE REALLY SLICK.I JUST WISH THERE WAS A TRADE IN PROGRAM.THIS SITE IS PRETTY COOL.

thanks kevin for the information,to be perfectly honest with you the new equipment you guys have looks so good that I guess I will just have to buy the new version as i really like.Its kind of like new model years of cars.

I deliberately called around for someone who had the new 3-As when I recently changed my one salon over. Very worth it! The buttons have just the right resistance and I don't anticipate any breakthroughs. Got mine from Tan America who seemed much more hip on the subject than the two other distributors I called. Seems a shame to have to bypass the start-stop button. That's what it's for.

Gene, not bypassing the start/stop button, just offering an alternate (and I think - safer) method of activating it.
