Men & taning

I was just wondering if many guys go to tanning salons. I would like to have a better tan, and the gym I just joined has tanning beds. But I was just wondering if it is accepted for men to tan? Thanks in advance Bill[This message has been edited by Bill (edited 04-02-2001).]

Yes a lot of men do tan. I've been slow on it this year, but I started tanning again. I usually tan for a little while every year. There are a lot of guys who go into the salons and even a few that work in them. You shouldn't have to be worried about it too much.------------------[url=http://www.control2x.com[/IMG]

Close to 40% of our clientel is male!!It is very accepted and personally, I think it is much sexier. Also, being tan shows more definition in your muscles...that is why all body builders tan...shows every ripple, curver etc!

This may sound strange but, wouldn't it just be easier to ask the salon how many men tan.Not that there's anything wrong with that.It just seems easier then seeking out a website for tanning salon owners to ask.I mean this statement in the nicest wayguy from FL.

I guess, I was doing research on indoor tanning on the net, and this board came up, I figured It would be a good way, but I guess you are right Bill

Ok, this is coming from a person that purposely does things that are NOT accepted...If you want to tan, go tan! It would be a shame to cheat yourself out of this because someone might raise an eyebrow! Life is too short...go tan!!!

a lot of men worry about the social stigma and tanning but by the time you get a really great "indoor" tan all of the outdoor kind of guys will be seathing with jealousy over your fab tan!! Go for it!!

We also have about 40% male clients. We are located near a gym which may increase our numbers also. Those guys don't want to be all pasty looking after they have taken so much time to shape their bodies. Also, vanity is not just for women. Watch TV, look at all the guys and gals you see.
