I tanned alot before. I have a problem with limits... even though i was told i looked like i was Peruvian i wanted to get darker. Soon i tanned to much and thought that i should take a break. But this break was also influenced on the basis that i felt as though i was losing my color. No matter how much i tanned i wouldnt get as brown as i used to. Can anyone explain why i seemed to lose my tan even though i tanned quite often...sometimes way too often. I have taken a 2 year break from any tanning at all, (white boy!!!!) and am hoping that this break is much appreciated by the melanocytes ThanksSincerely,Max

Your skin needs a break once in a while, so it is good that you have done so. I would venture a guess that the reason you weren't able to tan as dark as usual is due to tanning so often. Allow me to explain:When you tan alot it causes thickening of the skin, which in turn makes it harder for your skin to tan. So....taking a break was a good thing and always remember to tan in moderation!!! Also, use a top of the line shower gel, moisturizer and tanning lotion. These all aid your skin in achieving it's optimum color! [This message has been edited by BOBER96 (edited 03-28-2001).]

your skin rejuvinates every 28 days approx this is why we lose the tan (like a snake)proper moisturizer/accels help prolong the effect.also diff. skin types last longer i.e olive------------------
