Hours of Operation

Well, I guess we are in for the countdown where business is concerned.I want to make sure I provide our clients with hours to accomodate their tanning needs. We are opened Mon-Thur 8am-9pmFriday 8am-7pm, and Sat 9-5.Is anyone opening earlier and if so please let me know why.Thanks,------------------Tommy Lowery

We are not open earlier, but we do stay open later. One thing that has helped us also is that we accept our last walk-in at the posted closing time. Some salons say they are open until 10PM, but, you have to be there by 9:30. I have always had a problem with that making sense. We close at 10PM and that is when we take our last walk-in. If someone does come in, our employees have enough to keep them busy while the client is tanning. If no one comes in that late, they are still there finishing the paperwork and cleaning the salon for the next day.Mike------------------Take A Trip To The Coast...Palm Coast Tann mike@palmcoasttann.com

Tommy,I open at 7:00a.m. because I have tanners that like to come in before work & school. I'm in a huge residential area. I'll be staying open later, probably 10:00 or 11:00. I'll have to play it by ear since this is my first busy season.My closest competitor is open 7:00 a.m. till midnite.

We are currently in our off-season hours which are M-F 8 am-9 pm, Sat 9-5, Sun 10-4.In the busy season we will go to M-F 6am -10 pm (possibly 11). I will take it when I can get it!

Next month we will start opening all of our salons at 7:00 a.m. Right now our largest store is the only one opening at that time. Many clients like to tan before work. When it is busy it would be hard for everyone to get in and out on their lunch hour. The early morning hours take up some of the slack. Also we stay open until 9:00p.m. at all locations Mon. - Thurs., 7:00p.m. on Friday, Sat. 9-5. We are probably going to keep our larger location open later this year. We stay full up until 9:00 and this could only bring in more clients. Don't know how late yet but I am thinking around the lines of ll:00p.m. I will have to see what Mike and Tracie think.------------------Carin WalkerSandollar Tanning Resorts

Yeah, that does sound good! It will really help in getting some of the customers that work in the afternoon to evening hours in, because alot of them do not like tanning before work. Eveyone I have talked to about the 11:00 closing time has been in favor of it!

I agree with Anthony, alot of the customers don't have time to tan because we are closing when they get off work. Now, they can go home and change, and then still have time to come back and tan before we close.
