Re: The Wheels On The Bus Go Round And Round...

We are not a democracy...we democratically elect our leaders.

Majority rules is code for gang warfare...we are a constitutional Republic...very different from a democracy.

I’m all for loving one another…the spiritual kind, not the material love you want me to display for my neighbor and the handicapped.

ADA and Income tax operate on the same principle…the able provide for the unable and/or disable…two sides of the same altruist coin.

I have to agree with all of your points. The only thing I might add is that we are a "constitutional republic" in name only. It's hard to say when the departure began, sometime after WWII I would guess; but the "gang wars of majority rules" as you put it, definitely gained momentum after Viet Nam and has become the norm. In some cases it's despicable, and in others it's necessary - it all depends on your point of view. If your point of view is from a wheel chair, then the ADA regulations are "good". However, if your point of view is from the board room, then government regulation and taxation is "bad".

Majority rules, I wish that were still true. The majority of this country is or at least proclaims to be Christian. Not Muslim or anything else, but each and every day we turn our backs on God. I can't stand our taxes and all of our rules, but it beats the alternative. Currently we still maintain the best opportunity for a rags to riches story and because of that still the best place in the world to live.

Robbie, if making money and having things is your number one priority then I shall pray for you, I am no better than you because I am Christian and I would even concede that you are a better business man than me, your record proves it, but there is just more to life.

Belvey, Its ok to have Christian agenda no matter what aspect of your life, as strong as a stance you have taken on everything else I would expect you to be even stronger here.
