Ultrasun Aquires Dr. Muller

There is a rumor circulating that Original Dr. Müller is calling it a day—but here's the real scoop from a press release I received this morning from Willem Fabels: it has been acquired. Netherlands-based Zonnepark Holding BV has acquired Original Dr. Müller from the German company, AUVL Gmbh.

Original Dr. Müller will become a full member of the Zonnepark group, which currently oversees the production and distribution of Ultrasun, Gardasun, Sunfit and Stayl equipment in 55 countries.

By joining the Zonnepark group, Original Dr. Müller and its customers will enjoy the benefits of Zonnepark’s centralized production facilities in Germany, global leadership and worldwide partnerships in the professional tanning market.

On another note. ETS announced today its "friendly" takeover of the Zonnepark group consisting of Dr. Müller, Ultrasun, Gardasun, Sunfit and Stayl equipment. This move continues ETS goal of taking over the plant and everything on it.

Ultrasun has some hard working good people in Indy manning the fort there I wish them the best of luck.

More and more manufacturers/distributors/salons are going close, merge, and realine as everyone adjust to the new realities of the indoor tanning industy.

Just like salons Greg. Its both good and bad. There should be an upswing in a couple years. Those that survive will be stronger in the end.

I would hate to have opened a salon in the past year or two. A few do good, many do not. A salon owner near me just lost their house and cars to keep the salon open. They went from 300+ per day to 100+.

The salon business has been a little tough but we will make it as I married wonder woman, and besides my daughter is really really hot and manages the store during the daytime, PatParadise, (IMWW)
