Re: what is the percentage of business lost in the summer months

Wow, wish mine were a little more steady. This is from the prior owners books but you can see we go with the college crowd since we are on campus. Everyone leaves in May and Comes back the end of august. Nov is Thanksgiving break and then gone in Dec too. We'll work on that to see if we can boost those low months but our April was 32% higher than prior owners....

Jan 12%
Feb 11%
Mar 13%
Apr 8%
May 6%
June 5%
July 5%
Aug 9%
Sept 13%
Oct 8%
Nov 5%
Dec 5%

Here is a snap shot of a Colorado tanning shop for 2007. Our visits are higher this year and we are online to hit a 50K month..all thanks to bringing in a different concept which brought visits up and our winter revenue to all time highs. Should be neat to see how this winter season goes. Best wishes!!!

Re: what is the percentage of business lost in the summer months

Im in a beach town. Our peak season is March, April, May, June. We drop off about 30% in July thru the end of the summer. Then September, October and November are TREACHUROUS... Those are the WORST Months (sometimes not even breaking even to pay bills). December is ok for Gift Certificates. January and Feburary start to show some light.... Then we do it all over again.
