Sharing of Packages

Ever since I purchased the the tanning establishment, I have continued the practice of letting people "share" the packages with whomever they chose. I am wondering if anyone else does this, and any other thoughts any of you might have regarding this. I was thinking of allowing the sharing, but charging a fee (I don't know how much) in order to allow sharing. Any direction is greatly appreciated!

No sharing here. How about if the people sharing get in a fight? I dont want to have to regulate between people.

Re: Sharing of Packages

Nope not a good practice. You will never make any money doing that. You will have to keep up with everybody who is sharing what. The people who owned my salon did that too about 12 years ago had one bunch who would come and tan and say "oh, so and so said I could use their package." The person who owned the package would come in and get ****** off because somebody used their package. I would just make everyone have their own to keep everyone happy and YOU SANE!

Re: Sharing of Packages

Never!! Maybe in a rare situation have I done that..otherwise bad idea to set the precedence because we are in business to make money. The gym would never let me "share" my husbands gym membership...I have to get my own. Just a concerned person here that wants to help.....bad idea.

Re: Sharing of Packages

Maximum 2 persons per package...visits/sessions only (not unlimiteds). Person who pays for the package must approve the second person AT TIME OF PURCHASE. That's our policy and it seems to work pretty well. Having two people using the visits eats 'em up faster.

Re: Sharing of Packages

I agree. I let a family share a package, except unlimited. You can use 3 tans in one day. They tend to buy bigger package deals when it is a family, and use them faster. I have done this for 12 years. I ask who they allow to use their package. Never a problem

Re: Sharing of Packages

We allow family and partners to share sessions. No problems.

Re: Sharing of Packages

We allow sharing with as many as you wish. The initial person that purchased the package is the only one that can authorize the others that can use. we will create files for them and link them that day (with the owner of the package present) and have them sign off on the release and tour them when the others come in to tan.
No issues here in 5 yrs.
