Re: Which do you prefer? Airbrush or Mystic Tanning
I only will do airbrush (if I must do sunless). The results are more real and if something messes up it can be fixed. With a booth you are stuck with what you have. Not to mention booths dont seem to work well with very light skinned people.
And experienced sunless airbrush artist can work magic. A booth makes you wish magic was real if things go wrong.

Re: Which do you prefer? Airbrush or Mystic Tanning
I like both from my perspective of a consumer. From a salon perspective that has both, airbrush (actually i have hvlp) is less expensive to test the waters with. I like my Mystic since i dont have to do much with it. My airbrush is nice, but there has to be two of us scheduled or we need to do it before or after hours to spray someone.
Not sure if any of that info was of help ;)

Re: Which do you prefer? Airbrush or Mystic Tanning
I have both and Mystic is great if you are taught how to do it correctly. We show our clients tips and tricks to make it flawless for even the most "challenged".
Airbrush for a salon that is dabbling in sunless is the way to go from a cost standpoint.

Re: Which do you prefer? Airbrush or Mystic Tanning
Everytime I airbrush someone I can visually see dry spots or oily parts. I constantly move both closer and back off some as needed. A spray booth doesn't have eyes. ;)

Re: Which do you prefer? Airbrush or Mystic Tanning
IMHO neither...I prefer the VersaSpa. Best booth on the market. I know it wasn't one of your choices, but if you're doing a "report" on sunless you should check it out. Like most "polls" the results will only reflect what everyone has at their salon(s). Let's face it, everybody thinks they made the perfect choice. What kind of report are you doing?

Re: Which do you prefer? Airbrush or Mystic Tanning
I am doing a consulting project for my business class at UT. The business my team went with is a tanning salon. Trying to see which method people prefer to help that salon target a new market since most clients are students that go to Texas.
Didn't know there was a VersaSpa, I will look into that one. Thanks! |
