Counterfeit money

The last place I worked at, we just used window cleaner. Sprayed a little spot and rubbed it to see if the color would run. I'm not sure if it actually works though, but this company was too cheap to put out the money for pens or lights or anything of the sort.

I have been here 12 years and have never had counterfeit money come through. Thank goodness!!!

The pens don't work... They will still clear the bill to be real.. They are being made with $5 bills. Look for the security line... And the Secret Service will be in touch... just met up with them last month....

My familly was involved with a business tht dealt with very large sums of cash on a daily basis. The secret service DOES NOT come out. Tha bank holds the money reports it and you loosee that amount. The Secret Service would be going out to so many buinsess it would be unreal. If you are taking in large amounts of counterfiet of if your drawing some serious attention then they would come out if your doing it.We have a salon across from a large highschool a kid in grpahic arts was making funny money they went there. They don't come to your business because you depostied from your business a fake bill.


Money is imprinted if you feel the imprint or see the securtiy strip it's real.

We had someone from the bank come in and show us all the security features of the different bills, and also show us a bunch of fakes. They stressed that the easiest way to tell a fake bill from a real one is how it feels. We also have the blacklights to test them with.

We were INCREDIBLY busy when she gave us the bill. I remember the customer, she was a new customer & she kept acting like she was in a huge hurry. We didn't check it at the time but when we closed that night, my employee and I both held it up to the light and the strip was there!! I don't get it.
Yes, I know who gave it to me. Complete trashbag. Do I say something or is it too late? There is a chance that she didn't know it was counterfeit but I highly doubt it. I don't expect any money out of her, but I kinda want to say something just so she knows that I know.

The pens arent alyways the answer though.....

I saw a $5 bill that was bleached and reprinted with $100 on it... It was really good and the pen did not show fake..... you never know........

I made a mistake and paid for my counterfeit detector pen with a counterfeit bill!!!
