Re: Media Picking up Todays ITA Campaign Launch
I watched that today. Was wondering if anyone else caught it. Basically a stock dermaterrorist carrying on with The Establishment's basic message, in addition to coming right out and saying that the ITA ads were lies, and that "the research" clearly shows that UV is responsible for melanoma and other skin cancers. Shepherd Smith was obviously regurgitating whatever they spoonfed him before the segment - definitely not "fair and balanced". For instance, which research from which study proves their position again? Never seen it. Dear Mr. Berman and ITA folks: please push this particular point in the media. The Establishment can put people on TV all day that cannot produce a single study that backs up their point conclusively. Also, in addition to finally getting the truth about tanning out to the general public, could you also find a way to expose the conspiracy that has prevailed for so long that has gotten us to this point? I believe that would be helpful in combatting their counter punches.
The other thing about the segment that ****** me off was that they started off by saying the ITA says tanning is good, is that true? Then the "expert" says that too much exposure is bad and that the ITA is lying. Well, no ****! Too much arsenic is bad too, that doesn't mean that it isn't in the drinking water supplies of most major cities and is harmless in certain quantities. I don't know if it has any benefits, but you get the picture. These ads have to hit the benefits of UV exposure and how hard the tanning industry works as a whole to promote and practice responsible exposure. One other thing I just remembered - the "expert" said that The Establishment has no idea "how much is too much" when it comes to exposure, or what the various lamps and equipment deliver. Hmmmmm? Maybe somebody ought to give the dermaterrorists the number for the friggen FDA so they could research some of these things before they just start reading scripts on national news shows? Hit'em back Berman! Thanks for all the hard work! And thank you ITA, for stepping up to the plate, as well as all of the anonymous contributors that are helping to save this industry. Good luck out there. -Belvy

Re: Media Picking up Todays ITA Campaign Launch
This is great. They have NOTHING. Just canned responses and some poor attempt to make it seem like ALL tanning is overexposure and that we are all unregulated mass murderers.
Nope, I don't think even the slowest humanoid will buy that nonsense.

F'n fox. They honestly need to lose their ability to call themselves "news". You can get more accurate "news" from the singing bush out of the 3 amigos movie.

Re: Media Picking up Todays ITA Campaign Launch
Hey EZ Living, the blogger in Eileen's link wants you to cite references for your Vit D deficiency deaths. Great response, BTW!
The main thrust of the blogger's position is that medical science can't prove one way or the other that UV exposure, in any dose, actually causes the effects that they, and the rest of The Establishment have terrified the American people into believing over the last decade or more. Where is Smart Tan in all of this? I remember years ago that they had all kinds of studies and data debunking many of The Establishment's studies that they claimed supported their position. Let's get Dr. Holick on Fox and the others to shoot down these Dermaterrorists and others. Avoid the sun? How does a human being, who is not a troglydyte do that, exactly? If UV exposure causes melanoma in humans; how is it that the human race has survived so long? Because we know **** well that humans throughout the centuries have been exposed to UV without the detriment of chemical sun screens or clothing themselves from head to foot with nothing but eye slits cut in their head coverings while out doing their daily work to survive. It's a fact that "light" exposure alone does nothing for depression and other psychological woes arising from lack of UV exposure. It's a fact that the only way the human body gets Vit D is through a bio-chemical synthesization in the body which is initiated only through UV exposure. I truly do not understand how any rational human being in this day and age (specifically the learned among us), can believe still believe the tripe they are being fed by the media, aka The Lap Dog of the Rich and Powerful. I understand why the rank and file doctors whisper to their patients about the benefits of the sun. And I understand why the Dermaterrorists perpetuate the lie, but I just don't get why Suzie and Tommy on the block buy into it. Good night, Gracie, wherever you are. And somebody please tell George Burns that smoking kills everyone who smokes. -Belvy
