How can you form a personal opinion with ZERO personal experience? I'll tell you how -- you can't.

As an owner of soltron beds I will reiterate: They look pretty and tan well.

Re: soltron beds

this has been the most entertaining thread I've read in awhile. THANK YOU for making me smile so early in the day. Soltron and Ergoline are like GMC and Chevrolet Trucks, Same identical, great performing machines, but with different badges. Go with Ergo if you want the best, most sophisticated, technically advanced and ELEGANT tanning beds. Go with Soltron if you want the best, most sophisticated, technically advanced, FUN and HIP tanning equipment. All just depends on your decor and tastes. But Highest end beds of the two line ups are reserved for Ergoline.

Re: soltron beds

I have Soltron beds. They are hip beds and my customers love the performance and the comfort of the beds ( the flat acrylics and nice fan system). They are tanning machines, well built, and have no maintance issues other than acrylic design. Would I buy them again? Never! I have such a bad taste in my mouth because of the acrylic issues and the high cost of replacing them. The company turned a deaf ear to these problems right from the start and as far as I know, they continue. In all fairness though, I think some of the problems started with my distributor.

Thanks for all of the help! I located manuals and I did talk to the previous manager. They did not have acrylic issues or many maintenance problems. New at this so what kind of acrylic issues, cracking or spidering??

Re: soltron beds

I have 11 Soltron beds and a fellow salon owner in a near-by city has a total 20 soltron beds. Everyone of my acrylics and everyone of his acrylics had to be replaced in less then 500 hours because of spidering and looking like cracked ice. The replacements all did exactly the same thing the next time around. Most everyone has heard my story, so I'm not going to beat a dead horse. That's it!

Re: soltron beds

But it is no longer an issue, correct?

There definitely WAS an issue. But I believe it has been corrected, hasn't it?

In my personal experience (cause I actually own these beds) this problem -- which did exist -- has been corrected. My biggest beatch with soltron beds -- *software* (which is NOT included when you purchase these beds) is needed to truly diagnose any problems -- sux for owners but is good for the hunchbacks who bring their laptops for maintenance and repair issues charging by the hour.

Re: soltron beds

I can't say, because I'm still using the bad acrylics I got the second time around. I can't afford to replace them all again. I'm going to have to do a onesy-twosy replacement and phase them in gradually.

Re: soltron beds

Should they not be under warranty and get replaced for free?
