15 minute lamps
Does anyone have any suggestions for a solid 15 minute lamp? I want to stay within the Light Source line Aurora Series. I have Midday Sun 5.0 in my 20 minute bed & Phillips Advantage 808R in my 10 minute bed (bench)...so I need something right in the middle. The bed is a 32 lamp 100watt. I was thinking about Beach Sun 6.5 reflector but I dont want it to surpass the performance of my 10 minute bed. However, my 15 minute beds serve as a middle of the line unit and is most widely used so I want to have really good resuts in the beds as well.
Thank you in advance for any advice that can be offered. The bed's original lamps are the Equator Sun 8.5 but I have Infrarouge made be Light Emissions Technologies in it currently. The lamps seem to be good for advanced tanners but not so good for beginners. We have to be careful with burning. |

Re: 15 minute lamps

Re: 15 minute lamps
We have Sundash Genesis beds 120 watt 32 lamp, 20 minute. Our competitor has the same bed with 15 minute Genesis lamps. Our customers indicate our 20 minute beds provide far better color than the competitors 15 minute lamps. We also have one 10 minute platinum facial and the bed is popular but does not tan as well. The platinum facial has 11 additional 25 watt lamps with almost 100% UVA output. The Platinum lamps are one inch longer to prevent accidental swaping. another unusual characteristic is that that Platinum lamps are 105 watt but are driven by 120 watt ballasts, which shortens lamp life.
A bed with only 32 100 watt lamps is a marginal performer regardless of the lamps. By using higher UVB output lamps there is greater chance to burn your cusomters. If you want improved performtance in a fifteen minute bed buy used ETS Solaris beds 42 lamps with three 400 watt facials. These cost less than $5000 used tan well and will not burn your customers. Even better ETS beds only require three wires, two hots and a ground. The National Electric code allows a smaller ground wire. For short distances 10 ga copper will work and longer distances require 8 ga. and 10 gage ground Don't experiment with lamps that burn purchase better beds, PatParadise, (IMWW) |
