Please help settle a husband and wife dispute?
My wife and I own this little tanning business together. We are discussing a "small addition" and would like to get outsider opinion!
We have a very friendly cocketiel and have injoyed his company for many years. My wife wnats to relocate him to our salon. My wife: Benefits: The bird is very friendly and whistles at everyone that walks by... (We never take him out of his cage) He is not a messy bird and has a very nice cage,.. Our salon has more of a "tropical" setting and he would add to the decor..... Me: Downside: My only concer is that even though the bird will be in the waiting room far away from the tanning beds... even though the bird is very clean.... Will people feel uncomfortable with an "animal" in the salon. I have heard of some owners bringing their dog and I just feel this is sirty.... Please help us......... Thanks. |

I have no problem if the bird isn't annoying. I know my mom's bird wants all the attention and lets everybody know it when it yelps, extremely annoying to me!
I hope the bird whistles aren't mistaken as coming from you or you might be in trouble.

Re: Please help settle a husband and wife dispute?
Birds are fine in my opinion. The only issue I see would be noise. I dont even let babies in the place, we are NOT a day care and if they cry people WILL complain. But a bird squawk here are there I would have no problem with.
So if is acceptably quiet, clean and wont chop off fingers I dont think it would be an issue. Cats, dogs, etc...... I would not be happy with those. They can go into the rooms, a bird can not. |

only way to find out is to try it and see what kind of feedback you get. u have no idea how a customer will react till it happens.

Leave it at home unless you plan on keeping you salon nice and cozy warm in the hrs that you are closed, it cost money to keep unused space warm for 10 to 12 hrs and depending where you are I would consider $$$$$$$$$$$ at least this time of year JMHO!!
