Re: Please help settle a husband and wife dispute?
what about the poor little bird? I doubt he'd want to be taken out of the only place he's known! Keep him home where he's familiar-birds are very nervous creatures when they are in a strange place!

Re: Please help settle a husband and wife dispute?
I have found that customers wether they complain to you or not are complaining to someone about something. I would for-go the bird in the salon to keep customers..I know it seems like it could be a good idea now..but is it worth losing customers and possibly gaining a not so good or clean reputation? Most of us strive to have the cleanest environment for our customers, animals in the salon is not a good thing no matter what kind they are. Plus as stated before, state regulations may prohibit it...and no one wants a fine!

Does he get to come home after closing? Are any of your customers avianaphobic? Does it know any dirty words? Can I borrow it for parties? Does it whistle at ugly people, too? ~You know how they can be! The ugly people, not avians, you dolt!~

Re: Please help settle a husband and wife dispute?
Before we purchased our salon, me and my wife used to go to this salon that had a Parrot in the waiting area. I loved playing with the bird while I had to wait for my wife to finish. The owner even allowed us to take it out of the cage and play with it.
I think that most people will probably not mind. I think some people will love the bird and it would reinforce them as loyal long term customers. |

Re: Please help settle a husband and wife dispute?
I for one would not want a real bird in my salon. I want the cleanest salon possible. I guess it also depends where the bird is. The very front may be okay, but how big is your salon? Does it make noise? Does it disturb "anybody"? hmm

Re: Please help settle a husband and wife dispute?
Many of my clients used to frequent another local salon. One of their top complaints other than the sanitation procedures, was the other place's bird. They said it was dirty, noisey, disgusting and unsanitary. Do you want to chance people saying that of your salon just so you can have your bird with you at your place of business?
