Never, unprofessional.

Clean or not, does not matter to a customer who has no idea what the bird's story is.

You may know that bird is nice, but they don't and should not have to take time to find out.

Just one more objection for the customer to overcome. IMO

Best of luck in what ever decisson you come to.

Some people are deathly afraid of birds. There was a movie about birds.

Regardless if it is clean or not some people have allergies to birds and other animals.

I just did the very same thing but we have a cockatoo. The big one.

I found that many customers came in just to see the bird but many were very afraid of the bird.

Apparently, when I wasn't at the salon the bird went NUTS. I mean SCREAMING (sounds like a woman screaming). The restaurant next door came over to see what was going on...customers came out of the tanning bed because they thought we were getting held up.

Long story short...it did not work for us but our bird is very large & loud but I do not see a cockatiel being a problem at all.

Angelcat, you do know that in Texas it is illegal to have animals in a tanning salon, fish excluded.

(i) Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other pets shall not be permitted in tanning facilities. This exclusion does not apply to guide dogs or fish in aquariums.

I actually stopped going to a salon a few years back because the new owner brought in her two parrots. There were always newspapers on the floor under the cage with droppings on it. I just never felt the place was sanitary.

I am against the idea of having any animals in a salon. However I'll agree with Steve the way Parrothead has his Parrot it might work not sure maybe because he's on a college campus it works but he has it a cage and it's clean.
