I don't agree Wendy - If you're allowing the cell phone for the worst case scenario you would be better off getting a remote panic button for your alarm system.

Our salon phone is a cell phone and like mentioned above they are to have it on them so if calls come in when there in the back, calls aren't missed. (#9 is programed for 911)

WE ASK OUR EMPLOYEES TO KEEP THEM IN OUR EMPLOYEE BREAK ROOM WITH THEIR PERSONAL ITEMS. THEY ARE HERE TO WORK...NOT TEXT OR TALK ON THE PHONE. I HAD 1 GIRL LAST BUSY SEASON ACT LIKE SHE DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE RULES SO I TEXTED HER ABOUT IT WHILE I WAS IN THE BACK OF SALON, CAUSE SHE DID NOT KNOW THAT i HAD SEEN HER EARLIER "TEXTING" WHILE i WAS TALKING TO A CUSTOMER. WE HAVE NOT HAD THAT PROBLEM ANYMORE.
