Re: Hi I'm new here
If your by a college, the EFT program might not be for you, what you can do is have a one time sign up fee and then they can tan in any bed at reduced prices. The sign up fee could be $29.95 or whatever you want and then they can tan in any bed at half price for a year. With this you might get a little more loyalty since they are members with the sign up fee.

Re: Hi I'm new here
early renewal specials.
REWARD your clients for buying ANOTHER package during or as soon as the current package ends TRY YOUR HARDEST TO NOT LET THEM LEAVE WITHOUT A ACTIVE PACKAGE. FREE tans or extra time on a unlimted works best for me.

Re: Hi I'm new here
You're ****ed - I know that wasn't what you wanted to hear, but somebody had to tell you. You're going to have to fight the uphill battle of creating a demand for your product and/or service in a national environment that is totally against you succeeding with that. Second, you are going to have to brand yourself (I'll help! hehe), ie set yourself aside, or even better, atop your competition. Third, you are going to have to be "Carnegie" or "Bush"-business savvy (Haliburton is another business jugernaught that springs to mind) when it comes to managing the nuts and bolts of your business - you must be ruthless, and frugal, and smart, and considerate. Seriously though, best of luck to you. -Belvy

Re: Hi I'm new here
I'm in a college setting and have 99.999 % of students in my base. I tried EFT and have got a total of two people signed up. Like Bevy stated, you have a tough row to hoe. Less and less people are tanning and less and less people have money to spend on tanning. I'm now coming up on 3 years in the business and the lights keep getting dimmer every year. You've most likely heard that your third year will be better than your first and second. Don't believe it; my first year was the best and this year totally sucked. You're in a different situation than I, so maybe you'll be more sucessful. Good luck though, because your busy season should be coming up. My busy season usually started in September, but not this year.

Re: Hi I'm new here
Thanks for all the response! Our EFT is set up with a start up fee depending on which level they choose and then a reduced monthly charge for unlimited tanning per month. I liked the suggestion of offering something if someone renews for the next month. Eft not working well now. the college students are out of school right now but i seem to be getting more men from the gym next door. I put our card on their counter with a free tan for new clients only. We also seem to be getting a over 50yrs old client base as well. Since my husband and i are putting alot of money each month in the business i am going to have to find someone to work the store while i go to work outside to get a paychek. I scares me to have someone else in our store since i have ran it everyday and i know all our customers.
