I don't think this is related, but somebody in our industry must be responsible for it. I was watching channel TNT last night and this commercial comes on: this guy is stripping his clothes off in line at this fast food joint; climbs up on the counter and lies down under the row of heat lamps in his skivvies, slaps a pair of pickles over eyes (eye protection! hehe), and starts tanning. The screen flashes to a Yellow Pages search field on the internet and Tanning salons prints onto the screen while the narrator says "Find what you need ...", and then the Yellow Pages logo fills the screen. Great subliminal ad for industry - I wonder who got them to use tanning for the commercial?

There are a couple of commercials like that going around. I was watching the news the other night, and one for D'angelos sub shop comes on. It shows a guy dressed in a sub costume, climbing into a tanning bed, then showes him laying there with goggles on, and it leads into a "toasted sub" type of an ad.

Part of getting your co-op back will also depend on your advertising. AG/CT/DS will give suggestions of catch phrases or positive UV statements that you need to use in ads to maximize your co-op rebate. (additional 2%)

I'm feeling more and more confident about my decision to become premier with AG now. I haven't signed the papers yet, I plan on talking to them at the show... but, things are finally looking more appealing to me as far as AG goes.
