Slow season in so cal
I am a new salon owner and I purchased the salon in feburary. Everything was going great until July the old owner said it would pick up after labor day. Can anyone tell me if that is when business picks up again for southern California?? Thanks so much for you help.

Re: Slow season in so cal
We started to die off in August, September usually sucks, Nov/Dec pick back up and Jan is when we get steady again (weather permitting) I have had busy season stretch into the end of Oct in previous years. It really just depends.

Re: Slow season in so cal
Me too Brandy. I am seeing in the 40's per day currently sometimes high 30's depending. It's kinda sad. That's why massage is crucial to our survival. We had 4 walk in massages today and from them I will gross $350, $140 of which is ours for doing nothing. We usually have about 5-8 massages per day, sometimes upwards of 12 per day. That's when the good $$$ starts flowing.
