Re: quite literally @ WAR with other salon! haha
Why devalue the HP market? You have the big dog in your town. That makes no sense, in fact it is not clear thinking. Are you trying to be better or the cheap place?

Re: quite literally @ WAR with other salon! haha
Im not trying to de-value the HP market, $40 seems like a fair price for high pressure tanning and it will go up in 12 months. I have enough people looking like deer in headlights @ the mention of $40.
I dont want to fire my staff, they are very good, they just need some extra motivation on cleaning, since they are mostly money driven through commissions. Which is why with every lotion pack given away, it counts as NEGATIVE 10 on their sales. So if they are at quota and are going to get their commission, and they have someone complain about cleanliness @ 9:50 @ night, they can lose their commission if they dont keep the salon sparkling from open to close. Hopefully this will get it taken care of, and then I need a method to spread the word quickly, so we can re-earn the trust of lost clean freaks :) Flyering lost clients that have gone to the competition just seem like the way to get them in to try us again.

Wow. I would never do anything like this to my comp. I believe your salon should speak for itself. You don't want a bunch of cookie cutter salons that have all the same look and beds. Why copy them?

I didn't copy them at all....I went with similar laydowns...same line..but they have 5 I have two...but mine have face tanners.standups are similar...they have two I have two. but mine are more comfortable and more sellable (word?)and our high pressures are different totally...their salon is FAR FAR FAR more elegant...I mean...its beautiful. tile floors....beautiful glass displays, gorgeous waiting area. little angles and pillars and stuff that make it look so roman-greek like. lots of gold and brown colors.mine is very retail store looking. they got me on elegance hands down... which I hate...but time will fix that.

One of my mentors a long time ago taught me that in business, you can't change what the other guy does. You can only change your actions and what you do. I have learned that to be very true. Stick to your own business and how you can make it better and make people want to do business with you.
