the officer said he didn't want to file a police report... i am not sure why! i am also not sure why i would have gotten a ticket. my two dogs were in the front yard with my children. they went next door, but our dogs go next door to smell "dewey's" pee and he comes next door to smell my dog's pee. pee happens.

Talk to the local Animal control officer ASAP.
He is the one who will have the answers as far as the local laws,The regular police won't know details of the regulations and ordinances concerning pets.

The woman is obviously an IDIOT for rollerblading while pushing her child in a carriage,Not to mention while having a dog on a leash at the same time that doesn't belong to her.

You want a police report not a ticket go to the police station speak to a supervisor all you want is a police report so you can go from there take pictures of your dog etc. Yes it would be a civil matter but you still want a report. If my car is parked on someones drive way and there sone breaks the window I want a report of it. Strange example but you want a report period!!!!!!

exactly, you need a report on file so that your side of the story is documented. Pictures are always very important not only of your dog but of your sons pants and scratches. Pictures tell the story.

She should know!!!
She was a paralegal for 12 years and a dam good one at that,Her old boss called her yesterday as a matter of fact just about begging her to come back.

my husband was worried that because the other dog saw our dog and pulled away that we are resposible for her baby falling out of the stroller!

but here is my thing... if our dog was on a leash, even in our yard, he would be dead right now, as well as my son would have gotten more hurt. and we also have a chain on our tree so that maggie could be out front and sun bathe and she loved watching everything in the neighborhood... if tanner was on that, he would definitely be dead right now! either way he would have had no where to go!

i am very big on letting my dogs be free in the yard! every dog we have ever had has been able to walk to the car and go for a ride, get out of the car and go pee and go inside with out a problem. I even taught my friends dog how to behave in the yard at my house and her dog never stays in her yard/

TT&TT you need to take pictures of your yard so you can show where your dog was at the time of the attack. Like I said pictures tell the story. If she tries to blame the incident on you or your dog, you will be able to prove otherwise and the fact that she was on rollerblades pushing her child and holding onto a dog with only prove that she is not very smart.

i am so unbelievably happy that he is going to be alright (except for now he shakes and is nervouse, but i think he will get over that)! he is still a pup, so i think he will bounce back!
