The bigger issue is structuring your "mix" so there are distinct selling features and performance differences between levels.
Facial lamps, higher wattage body lamps, more body lamps, larger tanning acrylic surface (better coverage) and special "features" like mist, aroma, etc can all be selling features. And most (other than the mist/aroma) can also lead to better performance/results. If tanners perceive a difference, and the cost to take advantage of it is in line - they will pay for it. At level 1, it is most important to be "competitive" - but not to try to "win" them at that level. Level 1 is MOST likely to be about price. Have good, basic, decent equipment that is competitive. Spend your money, and get them to spend their money - on your upgrade equipment that differentiates their result, and your salon, from your competitors. |

I have facials in all of my beds. Anyone who doesn't want them can turn them off. Anyone who complains about the price being higher then the guy down the road without facials in his bed...I just tell them, you get what you pay for. 98% of my customers want them. It seemed like a waste of money for me to even buy a bed without facials.
