Who does waxing at their salon?

Hey.. I am curious if I need to get certified in something specific to incorporate waxing into my salon. I know there has to be certain regs I have to follow, (wax temp, etc)... what do I need to do to get certified to add waxing in? Is it worth it?? Does anyone have success with it?

Might wanna check your local and State Regs. Or the Cosmetology Board if applicable.

waxing a great add on service but like everytihng else .. depends where you are located... buts somethingh else to ffer your clients.. do you have a license?

I am getting my license in 2 months for esthetics and will definitely be incorporating waxing here.. the more you do in the skin care field the better

I don't have a license... do I have to go to cosmetology/esthetics school for that? How long does it take to acquire such a license??

well i think you need either /or.... but its not just waxing , its everything you get a license for and its takes 1-2 yrs

i am not sure where you are located but if you are in california here is the link to the board of barbering & cosmetology http://www.barbercosmo.ca.gov

you do need to be licensed

it is a great add on. there is a nail salon next door to us and because the owner never is there during the hours she posted they come to us instead & we take walk ins when our Esthetician is here!!

Be careful when waxing if the floors are too slippery someone might fall and sue you! :)

NO. Just get a candle, light it up, SPREAD EM and Wha-la. Waxing the pissclam.
