Hollywood tans owners?

Are there any Hollywood Tans owners on here? If so, I would like to talk to you.

I am about to purchase one with possiblity of three in my area. I have called the owners of several around the country...not one is dissatisfied. All rave about the support the franchisor provides and the steady absentee income they locations provide.

Also there is talk of a partnership with Mystic Tans to develop the next generation spray tan booth that will blow the current system out of the water... Been researching for a while and very excited. Anyone have other input to offer?

well looks like there aren't any Hollywood Tans owners on here... From reading other threads it seems as if there are only private salon owners posting on here. sorry to bother you all.

Franchisors generally do not permit franchisees to participate on discussion boards.

Open your own salon, privately, and avoid franchise fees etc! Or try to find a company that does licensee stores instead. Less $$$$$$$$$$$ and more $$$$$ in your pocket!!

i dont have time to put together my own...(day job)... that is why I am going to franchise route.

Let me know what franchiser is out there that will not screw me in this Industry and I don't have to do any oversight on operations for all my locations. I'll switch today and let other people handle my money great idea. Either way you will have to invest time or get a manager to run your salon for you.

Well being an absentee Owner is your first mistake! if you think it will run itself and make money...
Think Again! It takes more work than you are expecting, and if you are going to allow the franchises to blow smoke into your wallet, you will reap what you sow. many have tried thinking that if they have good business skills, and can put the right people in to manage them, everything will be all sweetness and light! Why one franchise/chain around here even hands new owners a business plan that shows 40K a month gross! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I spoke to 5 different owners around the country of multiple locations . The absentee income ranges from $75,000 - $110,000 per location. That ends up being 15 - 20% of bottom line. Computer system tracks everything from inventory to tracking exact time bed were used.

BTW... when I say absentee I don't mean they let it run without any involvement.
