Re: does this salon investment sound good
And clue you in? No thanks. You just keep *****ing about how bad it is and do the same thing everyday! Heaven forbid you actually try something new. What makes the tanning industry so exclusive from every other business? So what only 10% of the population tans. That's a **** of a lot of people! I've seen you beat on Steve from TanAmerica in here too! And he did reinvent the tanning industry! He sits in here and tells you guys all the time he has a winning formula and all you do is bash him! Maybe you should hire him and learn something. Whether you want to believe it or not business is business! Be better than your competition and you will thrive! I'll tell you another thing maybe you are in a tough market but you have know idea where people like me are opening and what our competition is doing. What would you do if I told you my biggest competition doesnt have a bed newer than 10 years old? They don't have a stand-up. They only sell tans by the minute. They don't have monthly tanning let alone EFT's. They don't have a standup. Their best bed is 42 lamp 160 canopy 100in bench. Needless to say they dont have high pressure. They don't change their bulbs nearly enough. Their rooms are so small all the doors open into the hallway and the beds take up half the door space. If you are more than 30 lbs overweight you aren't getting into the room. They don't clean their beds well. They don't clean their salon worth crap! Their help is rude! They have 15 beds and 10 are base beds. After that you have 3 sontegra baby-x and 2 sontegra gen-x. And that's it. They never advertise. They are on the second floor and the steps (about 25 of them) are so steep you are out of breath by the time you get up there. And you know what? They're busy! Everyone I know tans there and everyone says the same thing. Man I wish there was a better place to tan. All and by the way, it's a 20 minute drive away. ANY ONE OF YOU IN HERE WOULD MOP UP IN THIS AREA AND OTHER AREAS AS WELL! BUT HEY YOU GUYS KNOW EVERYTHING!

That's just a bs excuse for your results. Ask Steve about the industry. Ask him how many 25 bed salons he's going to open this year? There's no way it could be you right? It's the industry!

Re: does this salon investment sound good
You just don't want someone new coming into your area and working harder than you Neon. You liked it when there wasn't many salons and you had all the business. You haven't done 2.5 million in eight years you said. What was wrong with the industry 5, 6, 7, 8 years ago? Why were your numbers poor then?
