Re: What do you sell at your salon?

I just like the salons that focus on tanning and skin care (not to say any of you don't) The ones that are around this area do not do that. I mean a sporting goods store that has 1 bed in the back, to me is not a professional tanning salon. And the flea market one that has two beds but sells everythign under the sun. People feel more comfortable (in this area anyway) going to a true tanning salon.

Re: What do you sell at your salon?

i am thinking of bringing in some arbonne skin care products and concentrating on all natural lines (tanology) to improve the quality of skin my customers have and in turn give them a better tan

Re: What do you sell at your salon?

I've been using the La Gabrel Products (Main ingredient EMU Oil) but just got the AG skin care line and anxious to see how that is. Skin care would sell in my salon because I have a lot of Middle Aged woman that ask me what I recommend.

Re: What do you sell at your salon?

i am into the arbonne stuff bc it comes with a money back gaurantee just like tanology does. All of arbones products are patent pending and all natural. I am starting out with the salt scrub on the desk, asking people if they want a free sample and selling it for profit.

I really don`t think snowmobile parts would do in Crossville. The only snow I have seen in the last 5 years was on TV.

Sorry had to go to a larger town to pick something up (25 miles away)

I agree with you pcstutsman, but, people like me fill a need in the small towns! Yes, as I stated I had rather be the large professional salon. Studying the threads and post by people like you and other salon owners will someday make me consider myself a pro. Within the next year I will try to market a salon in our area that will be more professional. I am a professional business man, not salon professional. As I stated in the first of this post I just drove to a City to buy something I couldn`t get in my town. (Lot of small towns in our area) This is why I ran for Mayor (trying to recruit businesses where we don`t have to drive to larger cities. Without businesses like mine in small towns, people would have to drive to the larger cities to Tan, workout, or to get the body wraps.

Sorry if it sounded like I was trying to say not carrying other products caused some salons to go out of business. I didn`t mean it that way. Thanks for all the help you and many, many others help us newbies and small business. Like I have said on many post all I know is BS and business; when it comes to tanning I am all Ears..........Thanks again...
