By all means turn your salon into the local one stop flea market it will make you look like a professional tanning slaon. We have never put add ons in our locations we focus on skin care products, tanning and have only used swimwear in 5 locations.

We stay within the realm of lotions / skincare. we added a few new product to our skincare line last summer it included poison Ivy relief and Sports Cream.

Well I don't have the add's I used to and I also don't have the money coming in.

Just like some say by adding a videos you can't be taken seriously as a salon but that is crap too. If you are an educated salon owner and take it serisouly other than letting peeps clean their own beds, then there is nothing wrong with that in my eyes either.

Those salt lamps above, I had people driving an hour away to purchase them so why would I do away with something that made me ALOT of money!

I no longer have retail items cept for bathing suits and insence but now I can sit in my big salon thinking "Oh boy now I'll get taken seriously as a salon" while my deposits to the bank are less than what they used to be. OH YIPPEE! Ya, that makes a lot of sense.

Skin care lines are BIG! At least in my area. I think that goes hand in hand with tanning and is a great add on.

I have done well with the jaqua stuff, cause my younger crowd loves it. I don't carry everything, but it does give me great add on sales. With zents, I sell mostly the candles, and people love them. I burn them here myself.

Have you thought about putting in a Lottery machine and hot dog server?

Thats why my insence are so popular. I burn them in the salon and I can't keep them in stock.

Homeless people on the street here sell incense. Doubt that would be a good fit here. Keep with skin care as it relates to your core business.
