Re: Mega Salons

Good post Matt!! My last 30 bed salon cost me $450,000 with a friend and myself doing all of the carpentry work..rooms, drywall, trim etc.. I will not do that again!! I have Ultra Sun beds and Sundash beds and minor maintenance on all beds for the past 5 years..cleaning, lamps, starters...etc..
Location is definitely the factor..need lots of foot traffic.

Re: Mega Salons

Maybe i dont understand what constant maintenance is. I would consider this working on the beds and or replacing parts. Anything else is stuff that you should be doing large or small.

Re: Mega Salons

When you are turning 300+ tans daily in season there is going to be things that go down and be replaced. Even just maintenance as far as deep cleaning etc... takes more $$ as you need more staff to perform.

Re: Mega Salons

i consider maintance, changing bulbs, cleaning acrylics, and fixing small problems; such as a bad starter igniters and a contactor once in a while and I also have a lot of ultrasuns, but I clean my lamps and acrylics every 200 hours, ultrasun 6000 is a b tch, **** what do I know, I've only been in the business for 12 years!
