Big Girls

Last year I had a few "big girls" come and tan. They are very sweet and really good customers. Try as I might, I couldn't get them to tan in the bigger beds. I offered deals, etc, but no go. I ended up replacing my acrylics although I can't swear it was because of them. They are back this year and I am cringing. How do you tell someone they are too big for the basic bed?

what is the weight limit on most beds? I dont understand why it messes up the acrylic because the owner here is a "big girl" and shes never said anything about larger people using them.

give them free up grades to keep them out of the small beds. and thay will just think you are really nice . little thay now its to save you money lol

Definitely get them in the upgrades units where the acrylics cost more.

It's not total weight that breaks the acrylic, it's weight per square inch. A fat butt spreads the weight out better and lots of cushion covering the boney places means less likelihood of breaking the acrylic. It is probably some little skinny azzed cheerleader flopping around and putting down a knee or an elbow that is breaking your beds.

I highly doubt it is just the girls breaking your acrylic. How old is the acrylic? Unless they weigh 400 lbs or are in there together, I think it a number of things. If you have a sunboard, that acrylic is usually more fragile. Or just tell them the beds are down, ha ha.

Weight ratings for the beds are not for the acrylics, I don't think.

Elbows, knees and even heels are the problem.

thats what i was thinking. because i hear the little ones flip over, sometimes it sounds like a monkey is loose smack here creek, it scares me. but i never hear the larger ones, they dont even move.
