Re: Setting up a wireless network....

It's gonna be out in the street soon. I might just go get some ethernet cable and be done with it.

Re: Setting up a wireless network....

I'm using a Motorola modem with a Linksys wireless router. One at work and one at home. I have 2 range extenders at work. They were hard to configure.

Unless you have multiple computers, look at getting a wireless modem card through your cellphone provider.

Get the Linksys router and a linksys USB adapter for your daughters computer do not install any software and windows XP Pro will install necessary software
I have this set-up at home and it took ten minutes to set it up.

I however did put a range extender on the network at home so I can use my laptop by the pool and that was a pain in the arse to set-up
To bad you live so far away!

The verizon wireless does work well but I switch over to my linksys at home for faster speed
The verizon broadband or others can be a little slow at times.
Then again do they even have cell towers in Timmins?
