ETS Beds

Hi to all......I am new to this forum and soon to be new salon owner.

Just wondering if anyone has ETS equipment and if so what do you think about them??

If you are not using ETS, what beds do you use / like?

I missed the EXPO this year and find it aliitle confusing to purchase expensive equipment that I have not tanned in or even seen. Every time I talk to a distributor I find myself that much more confused as to what out there is good or not. A few companies have offered to fly me to their showrooms to look at the equipment but there are so many so, which ones do I go see??? The ones I have been considering are: Tanses, UWE, Ergoline & ETS

I am already in the build out phase of the salon so I need to make my decision ASAP - my electrician needs to get his wiring done as we are going in a brand new strip plaza.

Sorry to ramble on........there is so much to consider I am starting to feel overwhelmed!

Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks - Trisha

Re: ETS Beds

Really, everybody and their hairdresser has ETS equipment. If you're in a tough market, your business will be determined by who has the cheapest tanning prices.

Re: ETS Beds

I appreciate all the help. I have heard good and bad about almost all manufacturers out there and all salesmen are going to rave about the beds they sell and put down the competition. I figured I would ask fellow salon owners for their honest opinion but it seems not all are eager to say what they have or like.
If ETS is not very well liked in the industry why is everyone buying them? Of course they have cheaper units like all companies offering entry level beds, but most of the equipment they are selling in the 2007 catalog is in the upwards of 17,000 per bed and gets as high as 33,000 for the velocity. I thought the ss755 had alot to offer at a price tag of 26,000 but again it is not cheap and I am worried about purchasing from them if they are known to be a "bad bed" which is why I was asking for opinionson ETS or any beds out there on the market.
Thanks,
Trisha

Re: ETS Beds

well, I have ETS equipment and love it, but the problem with your question is everyone's opinions will differ. Look in the equipment forum for lots of discussions on specific beds. Personally, most everyone in my town has Ergo beds, so my ETS beds look different and attract people to want to try something new. Consider your market and what price range you'd like to chage within. If you're gonna go HP, I'd go with something more like the Matrix (I have and love) or Magic, not Velocity.
