UV and Airbrushed in same visit?

Hi - I am curious how clients can get airbrushed and get a UV tan in the same visit! I assume that they get the UV tan first and then get srayed cause they wouldn't be able to put lotion on after they are airbrushed, right?? Or do they UV tan after, because their skin is supposed to be free of oils that the lotions may have? Can someone please explain the process to me if a client wants a double-whammy of color from UV and airbrushing and what process I need to follow as far as products and procedure I should expalin to them.

Thanks!

We suggest UV first with no lotion. Do your skin care before you come in.

Re: UV and Airbrushed in same visit?

Is this a question because you have someone wanting to do it? I have never had anyone ask to tan and do sunless on the same day. If you get sprayed first, then tan, I would be afraid that you would sweat and that would streak the sunless. If you tan first, I would think the oil in your sweat would interfere with the spray. Your skin needs to be clean.

I suggest spray today, tan tomorrow.

Re: UV and Airbrushed in same visit?

We have disty that is starting to push the so called Double Dip, UV tan first then spray. Throw a Hydration Station in befor ethe UV tan and now you have Triple Dip, into clients wallet that is...lol

Re: UV and Airbrushed in same visit?

We have been doing the double dipping for almost 5 years. In our old outdated 100 watter standup the heat isn't an issue. The fan will freeze you in there for a 5-8 min. session. It also helps to "set" the sunless.

Once we added an HP standup we also encourage the double dip for a price :) I just throw the 100 watter in with the regular sunless.

I have heard many say that if you tan 1st, it opens the pours to accept the sunless better. I really don't know bout that, as we have always done it the other way around.

Re: UV and Airbrushed in same visit?

I have them tan after the sunless, to help dry and set the solution. Works for me.

Re: UV and Airbrushed in same visit?

If they tan in beds, have them tan first then spray.... I get a lot that spray then do standup.

Yes, laydown units should be used before the spray tan. Otherwise you will splotch, I would think.
