Re: negative comments on tanning?

I like that McGruff "name me something that doesn't!" Eat to many eggs you'll get one type of cancer don't eat enough you'll get another....Eat red meats you'll avoid one type but sure to get another!! Drinking helps with high blood pressure, stop blood clots but can cause liver disease.and so on and so on theres not on thing thats safe so your ****** if you do ****** if you don't. Everything in proportion!
Have you ever noticed on the pill commercials it will stop your (enter a problem) but side effect commonly include sweats, diarehha, headaches, chills, faint spells, memory loss, numbiness in the feet other side effects include sexually side effects, bleeding, nausa, and so on the geeze geeze.....Not on topic but it always makes me think why the **** would I want to take it then!

Re: negative comments on tanning?

I feel that there is a lot of negative press on tanning. While watching the news at night there is a special segment on health. Once a week they have a segment on tanning and they basically bash the industry for the whole 5 minutes. They talk about how bad tanning is and how you should cover up with 45 sunblock to protect your skin. The very next TV commercial is a make up and cover up. So they brain wash the general public bashing the industry and then follow up with a nice add on make up. What we have to realize is we are up against one of the biggest industries in the world, MAKE UP COMPANIES. When you have tanned skin you no longer need make up. When you tan you don't need a $450.00 prescription from you dermatologist because the UV light helps eliminate acne. We can argue and educate night and day but we will never win the battle against this EMPIRE GIANTS.

I also threw in, it is a shame, I have been supportive of everything you have chose to do in your life but you can't offer me the same. I drove her to her first job because she was too good for the bus, to school. Gave her a bridal shower, paid for half of her honeymoon, did flowers for her wedding (I am florists too), been to all of her and her husbands college graduations (gifts, gifts and more gifts). What do I get, a kick in the teeth in front of about 15 people. I made her feel shitty though, now she asks if she can help in anyway. No thanks, her white lily *** isn't going to make me anything.
Family is the worst!!!! I feel your pain.

but i get really nervous around people, especially if i am being judged... and we are going to see his family for a week and i swear they think the same thing... whenever the salon comes up in conversation everyone clams up or i get a "hum...!" and that is the end of it. like they disapprove!

so i was wondering if you ever come accross this and how you handle it. my husband said if it comes up he will take care of it and set them straight... but i wish i could handle it. when people come in to tan and say things i am usually good at taking care of it, but that is because they came to me and are on my terms... but family and friends?
Next time you get your business cards made have this sites included on them: tanningtruth.com and tanningfacts.com. And maybe growa-brain.com also.
