I still would like to know if you have a writte lease or just a verbal agreement. Sounds like one of those "good ole' boy" deals on a handshake.
If you have a lease, read it. If there is no mention of the electrical you have a decision to make. How much electrical is being used. You estimate 200 in 8 months. $25 per month? If that is true, are you getting a good deal on the lease? Is it worth attorneys fees for $25 per month of electrical? Is it worth ******* off your landlord and them doing everything they can to get you to move out? Don't act on emotion. Try to look at it logically. If you decide it is worth it, that's ok too. Just don't do anything stupid that you will regret later. |

If your in California the landlord has all the power & the tenant has few rights when it comes to a commercial lease.
What does the lease say....get an attorney |

ok. here's an update. I contacted my attorney he says for me to move b/c she will not sep. the meter & it will be a bunch of **** every mo. when the Ut. bill comes. So She was really shocked when I told her. She really thought I was going to cont. doing what I was doing b/c we really DON"T have anywhere to move. Let's just say my attorney is handling this.

It seems to me that this should have been done before your were open.
Doesnt your town require this for code, I have never heard of them allowing 2 businesses to run off one meter. |
