Lotions..

i'm pretty sure i'll get a few "search" responses, but its late, i'm tired, and if i dont post now, i'll forget to tomorrow..
probably i dumb question to all of you, but for me who isnt in the tanning industry yet, it seems good.
Approximately how many bottles of lotion do you sell in a typical week? and so i can base it on something, how many customers would you have in that week? oooh.. and how often would you advise a tanner to buy lotion, like after how many tans?
again, i'm sorry if this is repetative and there are other posts, but I havent seen any lately..

That is a big fat depends. SOmeone could sell 100 bottles and someone could sell 15. SOme people make that bottle last forever. The good thing is that most disties will have it to you within 3 days. So just order a few of each to start. You don't want to be stuck with lots. And don't make it too complicated for you and them by ordering a bunch of different lines because they'll say "well, I don't...which one do you suggest?".

I sell way more packets than bottles. I also sell shots/ cups from bottles. So my answer won't be the same as others' here.

But what Sandi says is smart. Buy say 3 bottles each (personally I buy a bronzer, a cooler and a natural, almost never a tingle) of 1-3 lines. Make sure you know a lot about the lines, and have tried them yourself.... so when people say "what do you recommend?" you have an answer.

Neon, you just won't let that go huh? Just because you're bitter and biz sucks doesn't mean it's that way for everyone.

Usually a 8.5oz bottle yields between 18 to 21 tans depending on how heavy it is applied. 12 oz about 25 and a 13.5 oz bottle approximately 28 to 30. This is what we have found. As far as how many sold a week, well it all depends. Our real popular lotions we have between 6-12 bottled in stock at all times. Others we may have 4 bottles in stock at one time. We also have available 3 lines (more than that I feel gets to be too much and much harder to know everything about the multiple lines in stock).
