Frequent tanner...now has sunburn

I tan 2-3 a week just to maintain my tan. I vary between high level and regular beds, doing full time in all of them.

Today i went to my salon after about 3 days, i went into the standup (sundash something or other) for the max time, 12 minutes and BURNT.

I have never burnt this badly even from the sun. Should I call my salon and try to speak to someone? I think if they had jut gotten new bulbs, it is their responsibility to let someone know. I'm sort of angry because I have to go to work and I look like a brown lobster, but only on my face and chest (where I don't use lotion because of skin allergies). Can someone tell me what might have caused this?

melly, lobsters are usually red but anywho, YES Definately when a salon changes their bulbs they should absolutely inform you (in my opinion it is their OBLIGATION) and even perhaps cut your tanning time back if thats the case. Call and ask them....can't hurt. Otherwise there could be many other factors contributing to your burn. Have you started any new medications?

Nope, and I used to work at a salon so I pretty much know the basics. No new lotion, medication nada. I just called and of course the ditsy girl at the front desk tells me they haven't changed the lamps but that its a strong bed so blah blah. And for me to "take a break for a few days" are you kidding?? I can't even think about putting clothes on top of this, let alone get in the bed again!

Have you ever used their Stand-up before?

Sundash stand up has a max time of 9 min, so if you were in there for 12 mins, that might have done it, overexposure

Sun Dash Radius 252R is a standard 12 minute max unit utilizing 170w? reflector lamps when first sold. Very high output unit. Too big of jump in exposure in my opinion.

the Radius I have been in had 200 watt bulbs and a 9 min time.
