Franchise
Hello All!
I am a prospective tanning salon owner and have looked into Planet Beach. Although the support sounds appealing I am not sold yet. Paying fenchise fees is not appealing and I know I can operate this business without the support. Operating an independant store was my first plan and is still my main plan. My big question is there an excel based P&L forecastor based on Total Gross Sales that breaks down expenses as a %? I am in the early stages of my business plan and need to get a realistic view on biz expenses and revenue. Secondly, what is the best equipment in terms of customer appeal, price, and maintenance costs? I thank everyone in advance for contributing and assisting my business plan.:glasses: |

Re: Franchise
Hello All! Hi.
I am a prospective tanning salon owner and have looked into Planet Beach. Although the support sounds appealing I am not sold yet. Paying fenchise fees is not appealing and I know I can operate this business without the support. Operating an independant store was my first plan and is still my main plan. Good for you. If you are capable of starting and running your own business, why are you even considering paying someone a %? My big question is there an excel based P&L forecastor based on Total Gross Sales that breaks down expenses as a %? No. I am in the early stages of my business plan and need to get a realistic view on biz expenses and revenue. My numbers and your number are not going to look the same. There was a lot of talk about best practices numbers a couple of years ago, but I don't think much came of it. Secondly, what is the best equipment in terms of customer appeal, price, and maintenance costs? That's like asking which car is the best to drive, or what fast food joint has the best burger. Look around your area and get something that is going to fit your business model. I thank everyone in advance for contributing and assisting my business plan.:glasses: Your Welcome. |

Re: Franchise
Nice. And, based on your location and research of this and other sites, you should be aware that the tannig biz is in a slump. Buy an existing salon or some hot dog carts. I would go for the hot dog carts myself.
