Do you ever send postcards for clients B-days-- offering them specials that month??

Anyone out there who has done direct mail postcards. Does anyone remember what radius you used from your location. It appears it is quite big numbers in our zip codes and just wanted to know if anyone has ideas on how I can narrow down these amounts, any ideas what the normal mileage is for people to drive to a salon?

For urban locations we use 3 mile, for rulal locations we use 5 miles.
