Open, tilt or close the door?

Hi,
I was wondering do most of users close the door or do some have open. I find that when I tanned in a MegaSun bed the other day it was so hot and bright and fealt I had to open the door as my face was feeling a bit hot and afraid of burining or damage. Is this normal to do? I had a good tan I must say in just 5 min.

The top part of the shell..You pull down? Maybe not a door..
I always where goggles and close my eyes.

It's called the canopy dear. I leave mine open when I tan if it's too hot as well.

Well, I seldom leave it open. But, if I hop in a bed that someone just left, it's a bit hot.
