Holy CRAP!

We are getting this crazy blizzard right now.........IT"S THUNDERING AND LIGHTING while the snow is pouring down. This is the craziest thing I've ever seen. Every school is shutting down..........kind of funny because I'm pretty busy.

people freak out when the weather chagnes or gets bad.. they run the market to get bread and milk and 1/2 of them if not most don't even eat that on a regular basis.. It must be psychological...

I think you are right totaleclipse! Everytime the news calls for heavy snow around here, you see all these people stocking up on cases of food and tons of batteries and bottled water. As if they are really gonna get snowed in for a month or so!

I'm half hour south of Traverse City. Small town of Manton - 10 miles N of Cadillac. What is so strange is the thunder and lighting and snow. R U getting it where you are?

Oh, I had to edit. Can't believe it's only raining there. I thought the whole (west) State of MI was getting it. Probably on it's way. Gear up!

We mushroom hunt in Mesick every year. I am in the Kalamazoo area . Just a light rain to almost nothing. No thunder. No snow. This weekend is supposed to turn nasty though. We will see. Ya never know with Michigan weather!

That's crazy when it does both thunder and snow! I can only think of a couple of times that it has happened here, but it throws you off a bit when you first hear it! You don't normally hear thunder during a snow storm.

North of us is getting a bit more. Grand Rapids area and north. So far pretty mild here.
