Massage Therpist, Nail Techs, and Merchandise oh my!

How many of us offer other services not related to tanning? Do you rent the space? How big is the space? And is it worth it?
I have a massage therapist. I rent the room for less then I should. her room is 10x12. We sell bath and body products as added income and make gift baskets. No nail techs but have heard of it. How does this work for all of you?

I run a nail and tanning salon and it is very prosperous. I don't rent out the space, they just work for me.

we offer laser hair removal and electroylsis which is part of our salon... if i had the room i would add other services for sure..

We have a registered Massage therapist and we work it 70% her - 30% us
She had An established clientele before she came to work with us. I tell you sure was a HUGE help during Slow Season.

totaleclipse, what other license do you need for Lazer Hair Removal? Beautician? a Doctor on staff? I am being serious, I don't know, do we need anything?
I have women come in all the time that are having that done. THey have to lay off tanning for awhile, before and after lazer treatment. All of them love it.

I also do Nail-tach and messages, but i do booth rents on them and it is well worth doing booth rents, so far they have done nothing but help increase my tanning base by 30% and i have only had them for about 3 months

In addition to my tanning salon I have 6 hair stylists, 1 nail tech, 1 masseuse all booth rent. Makes me an extra $4,000 a month. Works great!!
