they do unclaimed in californis as well. i switched to cards, but i missed the point on it. i claimed the income as i sold them. then i had a problem when the card came back to me and i couldn't get the sale to go through a second time.

Personally, I find Gift Cards to be very impersonal. I have my Gift Certificates designed so that $ amounts can be purchased, or any combination of the equipment I have. I don't think I have ever purchased a Gift Card for anyone.
But, from a business standpoint, Christmas for instance, has become so impersonal and commercial, it's the easy way out of thinking about a "gift". |

I use photoshop to design my own certificates in my time behind the counter. When someone comes in i put the : To and From names on the certificate and print it out on nice heavy weight sparkly gold card and stuff that into an envelope. its more personal and i do it while they wait easy peeeze...
