Re: ISO Italia ?

I don't think anyone was making anything up, just asking people who prob. would know.

I would rather have an Entropy 360 than the Magic 636. WHY? Entropy has 48 lamps (More uniform and even tan) with 1000 watt lamps ran on 500 watt ballast (Longer lamp life) 10 min max. Magic has 30 lamps (Can produce hot spots) with 1000 watt lamps ran on 1000 watt ballast (Shorter lamp life) 12 min max. Magic claims a 12 min sess. but in reality since there is 8 different settings for the lamp intensity if you had the lamps turned all the way down it should be a 20 min bed but the max is based on the max level. Entropy is less than 1% UVB while the Magic puts out over 1%. Magic is still using the out of date horizontal wire lead lamps, alluminum reflector (produce more infared) (heat causes hot spots) with clear glass and cobalt filter (more maintenance, hours to clean and relamp, filter beakage. Entropy uses plug in vertical lamps (for quicker lamp replacement) 30 sec appox. , glass reflectors reduce infared which reduces hot spots (more uniform), single stage filter reduces heat (which greatly reduces the chance of filter breakage. Bottom line the Entropy outclasses the Magic 636 in looks and technology.

Re: ISO Italia ?

Hey, the great thing is we're all entitled to our opinions. I can say that i have two Magics & with the Mug 6 glass they are really comfy. As far as the "older style reflectors" i actually believe they disperse UV more evenly than a parabolic style. I would imagine the lamp changes would be somewhat easier w/ the Entropy but i'll bet you have to change those lamps more often. The Magic is higher in UVB but i don't think that's a bad thing. It's not too high. It's still a true HP bed. As far as the 8 levels of owner output........have you ever owned a Magic????? Because the lower levels still make for an incredible tan !!!! Your not over driving your new lamps & you gradually increase the power as the lamps naturally age. There's been no negatives for me with this! It's awesome. I knoe that i won't have to change those lamps and i'll still be giving my customers a fantastic tan. I've got two and i can't say enough. I happen to prefer the looks but i still think the Entropy looks pretty cool.

If I was a distributor for Tanses I would probably prefer the Entropy over a Magic 636 also!

Re: ISO Italia ?

Ohhhhhhhh, now i see. I am a little slow. I'm sure the Entropy is a really fine bed. I actually distribute the Magic , but i try really hard to be objective . There's a lot of really awesome HP beds out there. Selling is a cut throat buisness sometimes but i just try to point out the positives of what i'm selling. I think it's a great thing for the entire industry that these HP beds are becoming more sophisticated & more efficient every year. The Entropy, Matrix Ultrabronze Sporterrado and others all look like great beds. I of course after doing tons of research chose the Magic and just love them.

Actually I prefer it because I have tanned in them both and results dont lie. I am by no means claiming the the Magic is a bad peice of equipmet I just think the entropy tans better. As far as lamp life I can tell you that my THP-24M with glass reflectors and single stage filters is at 675 hrs and has only had a 1% drop in meter readings. Unfortunately I have not added the Entropy to my salon yet but hopefully by next year (expected lamp life is 600 hrs but the THP has proven to be more) Of course these are just my opinions and everyone should always do their own reasearch before purchasing a peice of equipment

Re: ISO Italia ?

I hear ya certan. Good luck w/ getting that Entropy. I've heard nothing but really good things about almost everything Tanses makes.

I'm at about 425 hours each w/ the Magics and not that readings are everything of course but i'm at "salon adjustment" level 4 ( 8 is the max.) I just brought them up tonight actually and i'm getting about a 160 reading. I think i'll def. get 1,200 hours. I've spoken to salons that claim to get 1,400 & say the bulbs still kick *** but.........anything over 1,000 i'll be happy.
