Punch card? I thought this thread was about timecards. You mean like frequent buyer cards? After so many purchases (punched out by the salon) they get a free tan or whatever? It's just a business card designed to your needs, 1000 for $60 I'm sure!!

My advice is to stay away from using actual punch cards. Difficult to control. They get lost, they get stolen, they get reproduced; IMO, they're just trouble. Good luck.

We cannot have reproduction. Sterilize the masses!! With careful monitoring you can figure out what's what, and afterall it ain't cash, no one is going to be counterfeiting. If it gets some cash in your pants, what the heck?

Punch cards give your tanners some type of loyalty IMO. They know that they are building up to get a FREE XYZ. They will remember that the next time they want to go tanning. Don't you feel the same way as a consumer? As an example, I'm a frequent buyer at the local lingerie store and I have a frequent buyer card. I'll go there the next time I want a sexy little number, because I'll get something half off when my punch card is full. Be creative...you don't have to use just a punch. Use a special stamp or just inital the card.

We have a business card that is a Free tan card to give away for a single free tan, the card is multi purpose bc we can code it to be a single tan in any of our 5 levels, it also has 10 numbers across the bottom to use as a free tan with the purchase of ten or we punch out the numbers 4 - 10 as if it were for 10 free tans but there are 3 remaining we use as buddy passes. We spent $150 for 5000 of them so if you want a lot for cheap make sure they are multi purpose.

Punch cards at Grip are only $125 for 5,000 full color on both sides. No consumer can duplicate. With design only $195. Custom Punch hand-crafted so it will last 100,000 punches AND can't be duplicated by consumers... is only $49. If you don't buy them from Grip, you should be able to find a local printer at the same or slightly higher prices for the punch cards. Don't know any other custom punch fabricators.

my nickel.
punch cards from a reputable supplier. custom punch chained to the front counter. punch on verifiable purchase, at redemption all qualifying purchases must be verified by redeeming tanning consultant else consultant buys the freebie item if invalid redemption. (also known as theft)

some college kids duped my punch card attempt my first year in business. once burned, you never forget.

They are good to get in salon hoppers. Promote Earlybirds specials, and similar ideas.

You'll want to provide a few offers. That way, once the card is fully punched...it isn't fully redeemed. After your fully punched customer presents the card for redemption, typically only one offer will be redeemed...hand the fully punched card back to them to inform them that it is still viable for the remaining offers so it can go back in the purse.

Then start them another new punch card, too. Now there are two relationship hooks in their wallets. darn, those clever marketing guys!
