Posting \"rumours\"

I think it would be fair to say that posting unfounded stories regarding Manufacturers or members should be avoided.

This JA story has been floating around for months, monnnnnnnths...........

JA has apparently been doing some restructuring and now sells direct rather than using Distributors. My sense is that the Dists. that still have JA in stock want to hold onto your business by suggesting JA is no longer in producing lotions.

Use careful wording within these posts. Or don't go there. IMO

Amen, brother Neon. What purpose does it serve the members and guests of this site to post provocative statements that are unsupported about people and companies in our industry? The only purpose served is to ignite feelings of fear and anguish among the patrons of this site. The PM option should be used for this purpose.

True, but, as I mentioned be careful how you word it. A simple, "Has anyone heard that ABC is closing?" would be better. IMO

To find out the TRUTH behind what the DIST. tell us. I wanted to know the truth, I thought this was a place for industry professionals they would know. IT WAS A QUESTION I WAS TRYING TO FIND OUT THE TRUTH!

It was just poor wording that sounded more like a statement rather than a question. Nothing to get all worked up over, really.

But that is what I said for the most part, I said My dist. Told me that ABC is going out of business, has anyone heard that? I should have left out where I heard it from and that would have made it better somehow?
