Teeth Whitening

Has anyone heard of people using traditional teeth whitening products (like the whitening strips and/or the products with dental trays) while they tan? I have heard people use pruducts while they tan that were not specificly designed for use with tanning beds? Has anyone tried it? did you see results? Would this be safe?
