HOW TO GO ABOUT QUITTING??

Okay So i have worked at my sun tan salon for about 6 months...i have put up with soo much sh*t and always have done it with a smile..I have dont nothing but help these friggin people and all they have is complaints..But whatever i still like working there. BUT i have found a new job, making sooooooo much more than there, and will make a step up in my life..My questions is, how to a approach it so her, what do I say?

Can you match whatever the amount of $ is being offered.If not I have to move on.Plain and simple.

Most aside from owners aren't in this industry for the long haul anyway, I'd just tell them that it is time that you part the business relationship (with customary notice, of course)

Give your two weeks, thank them gracefully for giving you the opportunity to work with them, and tell them what a great time you had. Good luck.

Be prepared, they will probably fire you once you give notice...it's nothing personal, so don't take it that way if they do.

I always tell my clerks from day 1....if you find a job that takes you where you need to go or if you plan to go back to school...I would be proud of you to take that next step in your life....go for it...and good luck!!!! So from an owner stand point this is how I feel...also if you do like your job and are truly leaving for more money....ask and maybe you shall receive....as if one doesnt ask for a raise or implies they need more money...I will be the last one to offer it...I think that goes for most of us...unless of course a promotion came with the $$$...Have a Great Day!!

Thanks for your help...i would ask for money but she is VERY cheap...if i told u how much i made ya'll would barf...she will only hire 2 EMPLOYEES! me and this stupid other girl...and now she is barely having us come in cause its kinda slow..i dunno, i actually LOVED it there..the knowledge, the people, atmosphere pretty much everything BUT the lady...i am still there..im gunna try to do both, but if not i will do as you all suggested...
