Hi,
I am looking into opening an airbrush tanning business in Barbados. I would really like advice as to which company has great products and also gives training. I see Scentual Sun (in Virginia) offer 2 day training, any info on them, good or bad? Does anyone know a company offering the above in Florida or New York (closer to Barbados). Also, how does airbrush tanning compare to booths or beds? I thought it would be the most accurate way of tanning? How tiring on the person doing the tanning is it |

I have been airbrushing for about a year now. I like the airbrush compared to the spray booths for a couple of reasons. Number 1, the price difference between the booth and the airbrush. Also you can do just upper halves or bottom, face only ect.. which you cannot do with the booth. I did my training in FL at Airbrush Tanning Florida and I also buy their solution which is a great color, not orange. If you are using an airbrush it will take approx. 20 min to tan the customer. If you use the HLVP (?) unit it would only take you a few minutes to spray the entire body. Hope this helped....

Hello Carribean girl, there is one company that sells equipment that was designed especially for airbrush tanning or sunless tanning as we call it nowadays, like Josh mentioned people have switched over to the HVLP for quite a number of reasons. First being, alleviates the fatigue syndrome, in the hands and arms, second, the application is very quick, under 5 mins. Most compressors and HVLP's out there was designed to spray cars.Alot of HVLP's need to have quiet box built around them to reduce noise factor. This particular unit weighs a mere 6 pounds and therefore accessible if you want to go mobile for a start. It is very quiet, and the best part is that you can rinse it with water as to oppose use the deadly cleaner that smells and gets to your lungs. The solution that is sold with gives a nice carmel color and not much overspray because of the viscosity. I can give you the info if you would like, just PM me.

Hi...I own an airbrush tanning salon also. I would also suggest getting an HVLP gun. IT is so much quicker than the traditional airbrush gun. My gun is made by ACCUSpray which I ordered through Ventura Tans, my distributor. Their solution is awesome and comes out a nice golden brown. Also, the staff at Ventura is so helpful. They helped me get started with my business, gave me marketing advice and they are there everytime I have a question. If you wanna know more PM me and I can give you some phone numbers! Hope this helps you out!!
