Family members just returned from their honeymoon in Jamaica.

They said that, after factoring in the monetary exchange rate, gasoline in Jamaica was 75¢ to 79¢ (US$) per gallon.

I don't understand the huge gap in gasoline prices.

Is it because of our taxes? Did they exchange gas for ganga?

Really try buying gas in Europe my Sister lives there I have been there almost every year. Try filling up a little VW and paying a close to 100 US dollars. Before the Euro the price was about 1.50 a liter 4 liters to a gallon so close to 4-5 dollars a gallon. As for Jamaica it is an island it is easier to get their from offshore drilling locations.

Reckon we can haul some back from the upcoming Solar Seminar

Don't know about your area, but our gas prices are starting to come back down. Two weeks ago Reg. $2.35, this week $2.13 average.

I typo'd the price

Oh $2.13 is LOW???? Ah, 5 years ago I was paying $.89/gallon and it wasn't cause I was living in Iraq.
Also, I'm hearing that $1.99 is probably the lowest we will see the gas prices for the next 10 or so years (mostlikely longer if we keep voting muttonheads into office).

Solution? Convert to NATURAL GAS!

engfant, get real! Your baseless myoptic partisan rants have become tiresome.

High oil / gasoline prices are not a Bush / U.S. problem. It is a fact of life in the world market. Be grateful that John "freakin' 50¢ gas tax" Kerry didn't get elected! Whatever you believe is bad could be worse.
---

Even if Jamaica was 1 mile away from off shore drilling, that wouldn't be the answer because it isn't gasoline that is pumped out of the ground. And I don't think Jamaica has an oil refinery to produce gasoline.

Is the Jamaican government subsidizing the price of gasoline? Maybe they are trading ganja exports for gasoline imports.

How many gallons of gas will a kilo of ganja buy?

Whatever clown. YOU are the retard that has a thread "DEMOCRATS ARE KILLING THE TANNING INDUSTRY" telling people to ONLY VOTE REPUBLICAN cause we are doomed otherwise. Yeah, democrats are the reason for the downfall of the tanning industry and Bush is the reason the US is turning into a 3rd world JOKE. (I'm willing to compromise)

"Is the Jamaican government subsidizing the price of gasoline? Maybe they are trading ganja exports for gasoline imports."

When you are afraid to point the finger at your boy Bush, you make jokes. Funny. That's some funny stuff.
